Starting up a business
If you are looking to set up your own business, various organisations across Wales provide services to help you start up and develop your ideas.
Business Wales has a Business Online Support Service (BOSS) where you’ll find online courses and tutorials on a wide range of subjects you may come across when setting up or running your own business. There is also a Business Wales helpline which can give advice and support on issues such as business planning and available funding streams.
Business in Focus can give advice in areas such as finding business premises, accessing finance, employment law and HR and superfast broadband for your business.
Bridgend’s local Business in Focus office is based in Tondu Enterprise Centre, Tondu and can be contacted on 01656 724414 or enquiries@businessinfocus.co.uk
Bridgend County Borough Council’s business services for residents can also give advice and support locally and run Bridgend Business Forum, which hosts local networking and training events and is a great way to make business contacts. Visit www.business.bridgend.gov.uk and bridgendbusinessforum.co.uk for more information.
