Telecare & Mobile Response Team
A home & personal alarm service which, in the event of an emergency will contact a 24 hour control centre who can arrange assistance for you from our Mobile response Team, designated family/ friends/ Carers or emergency services.
The service is active 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We may also provide additional sensors/ alarms as needed to support safety at home.
There is a charge for this service.
Who can refer to the service?
Anyone can refer for a Telecare assessment ( adult and children)
Referral criteria/Exclusion criteria
- Must live in BCBC
- Must have a land line telephone line
- There may be a charge for some packages of Telecare – subject to means testing by BCBC Fairer charging policy
Who will people be seen by?
The Telecare package will be installed by Care & Repair.
If required Mobile Response Team will attend when alarm activated.
If more appropriate, Ambulance service may be contacted.
What can people expect from the service?
The security of knowing that someone is on had 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can play an important part in helping independence at home.
The telecare packages are individually assessed to meet individual needs and can be added to if needs change
Who does the service signpost/refer to?
May refer on to any Professional involved in Patients Care.
If no-one involved may refer to services via Common Access Point.
