International day of the Older Person
International day of Older Persons takes place on 1st October. The theme for 2019 is the Journey to Age Equality
By 2050 over 20% of the worlds population will be 60 or older
The objectives of the 2019 day of older persons is to help draw attention to old age inequality and preventing future old age in equality alongside reflecting on lessons and progress on the journey including stereotypes involving “older age”
With that in mind we have drawn together a sample of what on offer across Bridgend for older people over the month of October
